Atmosphere
Earth's atmosphere makes Earth different from other planets without atmosphere. Atmosphere is a life giving blanket of gas (like nitrogen, oxygen, and carbon dioxide) that surrounds a planet. Planets that have no atmosphere, like the moon, are not protected like Earth. If a crater hit a planet without atmosphere, it wouldn't burn up and would crash. The crater could stay there for billions of years. They are also exposed to UV radiation Because we have atmosphere, we have weather, and not any major temperature changes. Our atmosphere gives us oxygen and other gases we need to survive. That is how our atmosphere makes us different.
